Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Plans To Hire 37,000 Professionals from Campuses Next Fiscal

Recently, we heard a good news for the jobseekers. IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has planned to hire 37,000 professionals for its domestic and overseas markets through campus placements in the next fiscal.

About the hiring, an online news portal about business and economy - economictimes.indiatimes.com, quotes a statement of TCS Head (Global Human Resources), Ajoyendra Mukherjee, “We plan to hire 37,000 professionals through campus recruitment in FY 12. We have so far visited 171 institutions pan-India.”

So, it is very clear that TCS will hire 37,000 professionals through campuses in FY 12. TCS has 171 institutions pan-India and now it wants expansions in man power quality.

Further he adds, “Our hiring ratio will be around 54:46 trainee and lateral respectively. The demand is strong and we hope it will continue to grow in the coming days.”

You should know that TCS had hired 27,500 professionals through campus recruitment last year. According to the above mentioned news portal, “TCS added 20,219 people (gross) during the quarter (Q3 FY 11), its highest addition yet, taking its total headcount to 1,86,914 at the end of the December quarter.”

Further Mr. Mukherjee said, “Given the strength of business demand, we have exceeded the hiring target of 50,000 employees we had set for this fiscal year.”

The news portal quotes a statement of TCS CEO and Managing Director, N Chandrasekaran also, “Our short-term challenge is we have to continue to retain people although the attrition rate has come down in Q3 FY 11.” So, the CEO and Managing Director of TCS, N Chandrasekaran has planned to retain people in the short-term challenge of the company.

In the job sections, Accor is also to hire 3000 people by next year. You should know TCS hiring will be held in various campuses to hire 37,000 professionals.
